Lynn Ramey Howe

Lynn was my sister-in-law, married to my baby brother. I called her a road runner, not because she was a jogger, but because Lynn, at any suggestion of a road trip, was in her car at the drop of a hat. She just loved to drive and was very good at it. What defined Lynn however was her indomitable spirit. She never looked upon her cancer as a problem or a curse, she never let it keep her out of her car and if she worried about it at all, no one in the family knew it. Lynn participated in the cancer walk every year it was held and invited friends and neighbors to join in. Her smile and zest for life was infectious. Lynn was one of those people whose laughter filled the room. A more virulent cancer took Lynn last year, to the end uncomplaining, full of that zest for life, ever smiling and leaving us as a legacy the real meaning of life, something we will cherish, always.
